After our library system closed, I became involved in an effort to open it again. From that has come a documentary film I am co-producing and directing about the role of libraries in society and how they are funded. Although I have experience as a journalist and in independent narrative film, this is my first feature-length documentary. I turned to my local (now open) library for books about how to make documentaries and how to spread the word about our film. The Web site is www.librarymovie.com
