As an immigrant girl growing up in Brooklyn, my local library was only a block away from my school. Whenever I wanted to learn something or use the computer, I'd beg my parents to let me go there to get books. The library, both the school and public one, nurtured my love for books and, in turn, my love for education. Books taught me from a young age that anything is possible if you work hard and I realized early on that I would need to have a good education to succeed.
