Before I was three, I was interested in short books, and I have since devoured every book with a story I can lay my hands on, from graphic novels to full blown, encyclopedia-sized book series. I even have started to write my own novel. I'm mostly into sci-fi and fantasy, but a few realistic/historic fiction novels that have come my way have been pretty good.
However, I tend to stay away from 'realistic' highschool fiction, because I get enough real life drama from the few times I have to watch TV. I also pick certain authors, such as Cornelia Funke or Terry Goodkind, because they have such a captivating writing style. Well, this obviously has to do with the library. I don't know what I'd ever do if I couldn't go to the library. Actually, yes I do. That's how I started writing my own story, when Mom had enough with the library near my house that was underfunded, which made it scary.
