I have a thirst for knowledge that has been with me ever since I learned to read. Don't ask what subject because there are so many that I can't name them all. I learn from everyone and everything. New languages, new ways to do things, new reminders of things I might have forgotten or taken for granted.
My grandchildren remind me to go slow and enjoy life. A woman I meet at the corner bodega reminds me of how grateful I am to be able to take the next breath. My neighbor's dog reminds me of the unconditional love a dog has for its owner. I'm always reminded of things and always learning new things. I try to make sure that I learn at least one new thing every day. Time to go. I have so much to learn and so little time.
