I hated poetry in high school; it was too abstract. But as I have matured a renewed interest has formed, and I have been going back over the great English and American poets. The public library provides me with a place to do this without going broke purchasing the books, and as a result, I write my own poetry with the help of all of these past poets I was able to have access to.
