I live in a richly populated and incomparable city. It is an enormous and evolving city that I love. Too much time away from the scent of earth and water and the natural world leaves me hungry to return and know what it is to be alive walking at the shoreline.
The gift of walks and hikes and saunters and meanderings takes me to the heart of living and I am only really whole while making foot prints of discovery. We would do well to seek ways to honor this shoreline world and further preserve it in our own best interests. It is our gift to share and cherish and understand.
